Sweetwaters is a donut shop that was just built right across from Wesco on M-89. They open on February 20. There is one in Kalamazoo on Sprinkle Road and there is one in Battle Creek as well as Plainwell now.
The difference between Wesco donuts and Sweetwater’s donuts are that Sweetwater’s donuts are cake donuts and Wesco’s are yeast.
There are 38 donuts and there are 14 muffins as well. They are open 24 hours as well.
“Cashier/front counter. Possibly donut finisher!” – Elise George said describing her possible job there.
“I recommend the Oreo, Reese’s and the Chocolate Cloud!!!” – Elise George replied for what the newcomers should try.
They plan on making 55 kinds of donuts but they also plan on rotating through many different donuts as the seasons roll by like pumpkin in the fall. Sweetwater’s don’t know if they will be making a new one as a company but if someone wants to build one as their own, they are more than welcome too. There are allowed about 40 employees but 10 to 15 per shift. Also, there is no training required if you know how to do the things they ask, if people need to train they train 24 to 40 hours. Although they would appreciate people with experience. Regular donuts cost 99 cents and specials cost around 1.50 to 2.00 dollars.
Wesco will be a competition because they have been there for so long and they have good quality donuts but Sweetwaters want it to be a friendly competition.
They do not serve gluten free donuts either.
