A time for scares, candy, and fun. Halloween is a favorite for many, it’s a time for trick-or-treating, watching scary movies, changing colors, apple cider, and all other fall things.
With busy schedules, and many things to do on Halloween it’s hard to make time for everything. The favorite for many people is trick-or-treating.
“I didn’t get to do anything because I was working, but i got to dress up for work” said Breanna Ristau ‘14.
“I went trick-or-treating at Plainwell Ice Cream and around my neighborhood” Josh Budlong ‘14 said.
There are many kinds of candy handed out on Halloween. It’s hard to choose your favorite kind. When you get free candy it doesn’t matter what kind it is.
“My favorite kind of candies are Milk Duds, Pop Rocks and Zots” said Ristau.
“Milky Ways are my favorite kind of candy” Budlong.
With many choices on what to be for Halloween it is a hard choice on what to be. Ristau was Jenny from Forrest Gump to go along with her boyfriend Isaac Langeland ‘14 who was Forrest Gump. Budlong on the other hand was a convict. With costume choices varying from something girly and cute, to something really scary, you always see a variety of costumes.
When asked why people like Halloween it’s obvious that people like the free candy. Budlong stated “My favorite part about Halloween is getting free candy”
“The only time that it is socially acceptable to dress up is on Halloween” is why Ristau stated she likes Halloween.
With all the things to do on Halloween it is not a boring time of the year. Whether you enjoy haunted houses, trick-or-treating, going to apple orchards, or any other fall things Halloween is the perfect time.
