Both girl’s and boy’s varsity teams played tough games against Otsego basketball yesterday night.
The boys varsity team worked hard but fell short to Otsego 56-36.
The girl’s varsity team upset Otsego only by two points, 36-34. Alyssa Weldon led the team with 11 points and Brooke Timpe had 9. With only two seniors on the team this year, the Trojans were pushed into the shadows by speculators. They fought back hard and stuck it out til the very end, despite being the underdogs. To ignore this team would be a mistake as they look to defeat Edwardsburg along with the boys’ varsity team at home this Friday. In between the girls’ and boys’ games, the snow-coming princes and princesses will be crowned, as well as the senior king and queen being announced. It’s not a game to miss.
