Those three hour movies you imagine will never end, you all know what I am talking about, Interstellar, Harry Potter, those movies that just drag on and on. Those are all great movies don’t get me wrong but this three hour movie doesn’t particularly seem to drag on at all.
This movie is a two hour and forty-eight minute long full of action, gory, and heartfelt moments. The opening scene had me cringing ready for something to pop out and sure enough I was not disappointed.
My expectations for this movie was low, seeing I knew nothing about the movie I was actually intrigued and wanted to learn more about it.
There are many different languages throughout the movie that can throw people off but it was based on true events so of course they had to put in other languages.
This movie really makes you appreciate life and really takes you into seeing how much our culture has changed and how we stay the same in some places. Such as war, and fighting for our land.
The role of Leo DiCaprio was phenomenal. I would have never pictured him as the guy he played and at some points you don’t even recognize him. He does not say much during the film, but he really makes you believe that what is happening to him wasn’t just a movie.
Another actor was Tom Hardy who played the role of John Fitzgerald who is technically the bad guy, but again plays a great role in this film. I for one did not recognize him, for instance he is from Texas in the movie but in real life he is British.
A final well known actor is Will Poulter who plays Bridger. You may recognize him from We are the Miller’s as he plays the role of Kenny, and the major film Maze Runner and he plays the role of Gally.
I highly recommend that you see this film will have you on the edge of your seat.
