“Better late than never.” Though the past years seniors ‘13 may disagree since it was something they suggested, there is now a new parking area designated for the seniors.
The senior class now owns the whole front parking lot for themselves.
“I don’t have to walk a mile to get into the school” said Aaron Shaw ‘14.
“I can always find a spot now” said senior Grayson Betts ‘14. The amount of students taking advantage of these spots is growing daily. This new addition may be a paradise of open spots and good times.
What’s the punishment for underclassmen violators? Shaw believes it should be plastic-wrapping their cars. But, Larry Ash, the enforcer of the rules, explains that there will be a $10 fine to all those found in the wrong parking area. Violators will be easily spotted for the seniors will receive a blue parking sticker compared to the underclassmen who will all receive a red parking sticker, both of which can be purchased in the office for $5.
Although the past year’s seniors “whined and begged Mrs. Burley” , as stated by Ash, their efforts proved rewarding for the class of 2014.
There are concerns with this of course, Ash is unsure of the total amount of the spaces available in the parking area. Are there going to be enough for all the senior class? Or will it become a dog eat dog arena? Seniors will just have to wait and find out.
