So Much Food!

Over 12,000 pounds of food for those in need! Plainwell High School, in combination with the Christmas Project and Fox 17 News, was able to collect a ridiculous amount of food, water and other supplies to give to others.

“I’m running it so I’m really excited about it since this is my first time being an officer. It’s awesome to give to the less fortunate,” said Cassidy Lord ‘20.

Not only is giving to the less fortunate an incentive to participate in the food drive, but there was also a brand new Xbox 1S for the person who brought in the most weight in supplies which was Andrew Carlyle. After talking about the prize, Andrew Hansen talked about the food drive in general.

“I think it’s a great cause. Especially around this time of year. It’s nice to give rather than to receive,” said Hansen.

Hansen also said that they do these food drives every year. This means that if you missed out this year, there’s always next year!
