Plainwell’s snoco DJ was much better than it has been in the past and played relatively new songs whereas Otsego’s dance had a terrible DJ who played very old songs. Plainwells location of the dance, although not ideal, was much better than Otsego’s. Plainwell held their dance in the cafeteria and opened the doors to keep air flowing through the room so no one got overheated. Otsego’s dance was located in an old gym with tarp on the floor. There was no air flow in the room and the tarp was gross feeling. However Otsego’s dance was decorated much better than ours was. It also had a more reasonable price to attend. Plainwell’s is $10 at the door where Otsego’s was only $5. Another bonus to Otsego’s was the coat situation ours gets very cramped in the coat room when everyone is trying to leave and get their coats at the same time. The coats are also thrown all over and are stepped on. At Otsego they allow students to place items on tables right outside the gym, not on the ground. Both schools had their pros and cons but neither dance was necessarily better than the other.
