Christmas is just around the corner and many people enjoy baked goods around this time. Great tasting and fun to make recipes can be a great way to make christmas even better that it already is.
Cookies are very common, there are so many different taste kinds it’s crazy! If you like cookies these are recipes that will grab your attention.
Ingredients for Easy Christmas sugar cookie cut outs by Betty Crocker:
Cookies:
1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ sugar cookie mix
3 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
½ cup butter, melted
1 egg
Frosting:
2 ¼ cups powdered sugar
2-4 tablespoons milk
¼ teaspoons vanilla
Gel food colors as desired
Candy sprinkles or colored sugars as desired
Steps:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In Large Bowl stir together sugar cookie mix, flour, melted butter, and egg until soft dough forms.
On floured surface, roll dough 1/4 inch thick.
Cut into shapes with 3-inch cookie cutters.
On ungreased cookie sheets, place cutouts 2 inches apart.
Bake for 7-9 minutes until edges are golden brown.
Then let cool for two minutes before frosting.
Ingredients for melting Snowman cookies:
1 pouch (1 pound 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar cookie mix
½ cup of melted butter
1 egg
1 package (1 lb) vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark)
Black confetti candy sprinkles
Orange jimmies candy sprinkles

Betty Crocker™ Decorating Decors snowflakes
Steps:
Heat oven to 375°F.
In medium bowl, stir together cookie mix, butter and egg until soft dough forms.
Roll half the dough into walnut-size balls, and then flatten slightly on a parchment-lined or ungreased cookie sheet.
Roll remaining dough into marble-size balls, and place on cookie sheet; do not flatten these.
Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown.
Cool about 5 minutes
Microwave candy coating at 30-second intervals until it can be stirred smooth.
Cover work surface with waxed or parchment paper. Place a dot of melted coating on bottom of a small cookie and place it toward one edge of a larger cookie. Spoon coating over entire cookie, allowing some to spill over edge of bottom cookie.
Place two black confetti pieces on small cookie for eyes, and an orange candy sprinkle in center for a carrot nose. Place three black confetti sprinkle “buttons” on the bottom cookie.Use the cookie icing to draw on arms. Sprinkle with snowflakes; allow to dry completely.
Christmas Ball Cookies
Ingredients:
1 ¼ cups of butter, softened
1 ½ cups of powdered sugar
⅛ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon almond extract
2 cups Gold Medal all-purpose flour red, green, and white sanding sugar
1 tablespoon milk
Steps:
In large bowl, beat 1 cup of butter. ½ cup of powdered sugar and salt with mixer on medium speed for about two minutes. Beat ¼ teaspoon of almond extract. On low speed, beat flour until combined. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Heat oven to 350 F. Line cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper. Shape dough into ¾ inch balls. Roll balls in choice of sanding sugar, coating completely. Place them 1 inch apart.
Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet and place on cooling rack. Cool for 30 minutes. In small bowl, beat remaining ¼ cup butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, ¼ teaspoon almond extract and the milk and milk until smooth. For each sandwich cookie, spread ½ teaspoon filling on bottom of one cookie : top with second cookie, bottom side down to form ball.
Reindeer Food
Ingredients:
1 bag of popped popcorn (4 cups)
4 cups Rice Chex cereal
8 oz white candy coating or almond bark
9 oz bag peppermint M&Ms
9 oz bag milk chocolate red and green M&Ms
2 cups Peppermint crunch
Red sprinkles
Steps:
Lay wax paper down over counter
In large bowl combine popcorn and Chex mix
Microwave white candy , stir every 45 seconds. Once melted, pour quickly over popcorn mixture and toss. Quickly add M&Ms, peppermint crunch and sprinkles and then pour on wax paper. Let it dry for 10 minutes then able to eat or storage in a airtight container.
